'The Last of Us' y 'Succession' rompen récords en los Emmy 2023 que parecían inalcanzables: HBO hace historia con las nominaciones de dos de sus mejores series
En plena huelga de guionistas y ahora también de actores, se anunciaron las nominaciones a los Premios Emmy 2023, muchas de las cuales fueron a parar a 'The Last of Us' y la temporada 4 de 'Succession'. No solo eso, sino que las dos series de HBO han conseguido romper varios récords.
HBO en cabeza
Por un lado, 'The Last of Us' ha conseguido ser la primera adaptación en imagen real de un videojuego en optar a un premio importante. La serie, creada por Craig Mazin y protagonizada por Pedro Pascal y Bella Ramsay, ha conseguido varias nominaciones, incluyendo la de Mejor Serie Dramática, Actor y Actriz Principal.
Todo un logro para las adaptaciones de videojuegos en imagen real, que empiezan a prodigarse en televisión con 'Halo' o 'Resident Evil' como ejemplos más recientes y otras en camino, como 'God of War' o 'Fallout'. Habrá que ver si la suerte le sonríe a las adaptaciones en animación y 'Super Mario Bros. La película' consigue rascar alguna nominación a los próximos Óscar.
En cuanto a la temporada 4 de 'Succession', la serie creada por Jesse Armstrong es una habitual de los Emmy. No obstante, en esta ocasión ha conseguido hacer historia y ser la primera serie en obtener tres nominaciones a la vez en la categoría de Mejor Actor Protagonista para Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong y Kieran Culkin.
El año pasado, la serie ya hizo historia con la triple nominación a Mejor Actor Secundario para Culkin, Matthew MacFadyen y Nicholas Braun, pero este año Culkin ha saltado también a la de Principal, al igual que lo hizo Sarah Snook en la de Actriz de una serie de drama.
Desde luego, HBO estará contento con las 24 nominaciones para 'The Last of Us' y las 27 de 'Succession'. Ahora habrá que esperar hasta el día 19 de septiembre para ver cuántos premios terminan recogiendo.
